From the mouth of Morgan

Some funny things Morgan has cracked me up with lately:

~The other day while running around the house with a blanket on and trying to act spooky, I asked what he was doing and he said - "I'm being the Holy Ghost!"

~Last night while eating some yummy bubble gum ice cream my friend Natallie brought over, complete with blue mouth and drips going down his chin Morgan declared - "This is the best ice cream I've ever seen!"

~When he opens the sliding glass door to go outside and I ask what he is doing he says -"I'm going to check on the topatoes and the bikini's." (tomatoes and zucchini's). I love it when he asks if he can have some "bikini bread". So stinkin cute.

~Yesterday we watched the original Karate Kid during lunch and then Kendle wanted to watch it again after dinner last night. This morning while getting ready for preschool Morgan tells me - "I don't want to watch that movie with Daniel's son anymore." Ha!

Oh that boy seriously keeps me laughing all the time. I love how he talks.

Funny Morgan Moment

The week before last we decided to give Morgan a little buzz cut and get rid of the shaggy hair he had been sporting. Usually when we get it cut, we leave it a little longer on top and then fade in the sides and back really short. This time we just did it ourselves and did it really short all over. It looked great, but after taking one look in the mirror Morgan announced, "You put my hair on backwards!" He sounded kind of ticked off about it. So he took another look in the mirror and again yelled, "You put my hair on backwards!" Riley and I were just dying laughing as we guessed he just wasn't used to seeing it that short everywhere and was thinking we must have put the long part in the back. Oh man. It was too funny, but the expression on his face made it even more hilarious. He was dead serious. So that's the new family joke for getting really short hair I guess.

They said what?

Thought I better jot these down before I forgot.

Riley brought home a bag of Bugles the other day. Morgan loves to eat them. He kept going to the pantry door and asking for more "muggles". I had no idea what he meant until he pointed to the bag. Ohhhh, I got it. (I think we've been watching too much Harry Potter around here.) I hated to correct him though because it sounded so cute.

While riding home from church yesterday afternoon, Kendle piped up from the backseat asking what getting "head whipped" meant. Riley and I were both really puzzled and had no idea what she was asking us about. She kept saying, you know - getting "head whipped". We still had no clue what she was talking about. Then she said, "you know when you're driving really fast in the car and you then you have to stop really fast and it hurts your head." Ohhhh, we got it. Whiplash! Ha, we laughed about that the rest of the way home. I think "head whipped" might be our new favorite verb.

A little Christmas Humor

I don't know why this always makes me laugh, but it does. Gotta love those wild animal background noises Jimmy Fallon pushes on the keyboard!

The day I dread during the week.....

Welcome to :

Usaully Monday is laundry day at the Dodson house, but since it was Labor Day on Monday, laundry day got pushed back a bit. Laundry to me is like listening to a bad song over and over again. I don't mind throwing it in the machines, but folding it, sorting socks, and putting it all away is one of my least favorite chores. I tried painting my laundry room a nice color and decorating it a bit to make it a little more bearable - didn't work. It's still not fun no matter how I try to trick myself. Riley always has a ton of socks with no mates (seriously, where can they all go?) and Kendle's clothes get so dirty that I have to scrub and scrub before even putting them in the washer. I do love the clean, fresh smell after it's all done. I just wish I could take it to one of these instead -

I am seriously the only one in my family who wears just one outfit during the day; it's insane how much piles up in a week. So I just had to stop and rant a bit in between my 99 and 100th load of laundry for the day. And if you happen to be doing the same thing today at your house, happy folding to you.

Classical Barbie Girl

Anyone remember that horrible "Barbie Girl" song from the 90's that you could never get out of your head? Well, I found this hilarious (in my opinion anyways) rendition by these classical chellist boys. You guys probably won't think it's as funny as I do, but I have a twisted sense of humor.
