Trunk-or-Treat and Halloween flashbacks

Last night we attended our ward Trunk-or-Treat and it was really fun. There were a ton of people that came and lots of decorated spooky trunks. Kendle loved the cupcake walk and the spooky maze. I think she went through the maze about ten times! Morgan, true to his nature just wanted to run wild everywhere. Here are some pictures before we left our house:

I could not get them both to hold still to get a very good picture, so as you can see these were the perfect costumes for these two!

They were both just exhausted by the time we got home. I had to wash their hair about five times each to get all of the blue out, and rinse out the shower. By 8:30 they were both in their beds passed out and snoring. Too much fun makes for tired little monsters!

I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some Halloween pictures of the kids.

Here was Morgan last year:

What a difference one year makes!

Here is Kendle two Halloween's ago:

All I remember about this Halloween is that I was puking my guts up while I was pregnant with Morgan. Riley took Kendle costume shopping and this is the one she picked.

This next picture I believe she was 2 or so:

This last picture was from her first Halloween:

Tonight we'll be going to the school carnival and tomorrow will be more trick-or-treating and a costume party for Riley and I later in the evening.

Pumpkin Carving 101

Last night we went and got our pumpkins and came home and carved them all up. Kendle and I had two pumpkins cleaned and gutted by the time Riley joined us. What is it with guys and any available sport that happens to be on TV? Anywho, Kendle was cleaning out those pumpkins like a little pro and we were making a great team. Then came the fun part. The carving! We decided not to do anything fancy this year. I'm usually the one that gets stuck doing all the fancy shmancy designs you can get from those patterns, and my hands could not take it this year. So we opted with just some original jack-o-lantern faces and just free-handed them onto the pumpkins. Mine came out fine, the one I had Kendle help me with turned out fine, the one I did for Morgan turned out fine, but Riley's - not so much. I gave him the simplest one to carve, just two round eyes and a big oval mouth. Pretty easy right? You would think so. Poor Riley to his credit did try pretty hard, but I ended up going back and fixing it later. Is that horrible of me? He told me it's not his fault, it's because he's not artistic. However, I am one of the most unartistic people as well and I didn't seem to have as much trouble. Good thing for Riley he has other redeeming qualities, because pumpkin carving is not one of them!

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival

If you are interested, the quarterly carnival for bloggers is going on over at Bloggy Giveaways. There are currently over 1000 bloggers giving away prizes on their blogs and the chances of winning are pretty good. During the spring I entered some of the giveaways and ended up winning five. There are lots and lots of good prizes, so if you get a minute you could have some fun entering and you never know, you just might win something!

End of the Season

Saturday was Kendle's last soccer game. I'm glad to say that her and the rest of their team ended on a high note. They ran hard, played well, and had lots of good team work. Kendle had 2 or 3 goals, I'm never really sure because I'm also usually wrestling a strong feisty toddler during the games so I'm lucky if I can look up in time to see if she's the one who kicked it in. Riley is the statician in the family. I hope he doesn't end up driving our kids nuts by keeping all of their season stats for them. He's a numbers guy.

One thing that Kendle has really improved on is running hard after the ball. She is a good defensive player and has taken her fair share of lumps this year, but she always gets up, doesn't cry, and keeps on playing. Now, she might point her finger and yell at the other team that they are playing dirty, but she's just saying out loud what all of us parents were thinking anyways. Ha.

As much as Riley was the hard-nosed coach to the kids on their team, they really liked him and would always come up and give him a hug before their games. The kids all got along really well, and it was just a fun season overall.

Here are some pictures I took during their last game:

Kendle cutting across to steal the ball and get a fast break down the field.

Talking some strategy at half-time.

Looking for that open player to pass the ball to.

Tonight we have our end of season pizza party, and also I'll be celebrating having my Saturdays back. YAY!

Everybody's Working for the Weekend

From today until next Sunday our family will be on the go and on a marathon sprint to fit it all in and get it all done.

*Tonight me and the Rilo will be going on a much needed date. We'll go out to dinner and then shop, shop, shop, till we drop. I'm trying to plan ahead and get a lot of things bought for the upcoming activities and holidays we have in store. I told Riley he's going to have to be a good sport because it's just something that has to be done. I'm sure a stop by Joe's or Sportsman's Warehouse could be arranged if need be.

*Tomorrow morning Kendle has her last soccer game of the season. Hurray! So glad it's over, but I think Kendle will miss it. She's really gotten into it more this year and I think she's scored about 12 or 13 goals overall. I'm excited she'll be playing on an all-girls team next year and not have to worry about running over a stacked team of boys who get in her way.

*After her game, Kendle will be spending the day with my mom and having some fun. For Kendle's birthday back in August, grandma gave her a pass for a special day with her to go to the movies, shopping, or whatever she wanted to do. Kendle has really been looking forward to it and probably will not be able to concentrate in her game because of the excitement.

*Tomorrow afternoon I will be cleaning, probably doing a bit more shopping, and trying to finish my sharing time for primary on Sunday. Sunday is going to be a crazy day, so I hope to have everything organized and ready to go before I go to bed on Saturday night.

*Sunday is our ward's primary program and I will be getting there early to help set-up and get the children in their spot's. We have a very large group of children in our primary and it has been quite the challenge to figure out where to have everyone sit. Kendle is singing a solo to start the program and I am very nervous for her. Say some prayers for her will you? :) I know she will be fine, but those things make us mom's nervous wrecks. My parents are coming up to watch and have dinner with us afterwards (guess I better have dinner squared away before church too). We are so proud of our primary kids and the great job they've been doing in our practices the last few weeks. They are as good as they come.

Next week will go something like this:
*Monday night - End of the season soccer party at Eatza Pizza

*Tuesday - Pack Meeting

*Wednesday - Ward Trunk-or-Treat

*Thursday - School Fall Festival

*Friday - Trick-or-Treating with the kids and Mitch and Nan's Halloween party

*Saturday - Super Saturday at the church

Hopefully with all of that, I can keep my house clean, my family fed, and my children from running away. HA!

Have a great weekend!

The competition heats up

I really, really like eBay for all of the screaming deals you can find if you have the time and energy to look and bid.

Before Morgan was born, I found a brand new changing table on there for only $14 and cheap shipping. I also found a cute crib set that was brand new that was more than 70% off. I've sold a lot of Kendle's old baby clothes and things she's grown out of on eBay that I thought were too nice to just give away. In short, I think it's just about one of the coolest things out there.

Last night however, my happy go-lucky attitude about eBay was thrown aside as I went into an intense bidding war on an item. What is it in our human nature that makes it impossible for us to give up when we find something we want? I knew it wasn't personal, there was a complete stranger on some other computer somewhere clicking buttons about as fast as I could and just as annoyed every time the "you've been outbid" notification flashed on the screen. Regardless, my competitive edge reared it's ugly head and I was determined to get that last bid in before time ran out.

AND I DID!

With 13 seconds left, I entered the winning bid. Thank goodness for my quick typing skills and fast internet connection.

VICTORIOUS!

Are you a busy bee?

After reading this post on my mother's blog, I've realized two things:

1.) My mom is super amazing, I don't know how she does all of the things she does without going crazy. I wish I was more like her.

2.) I am not someone who enjoys being constantly on the go with 500 things on my plate. Yes, sometimes life does require it of us, but in reality I just am a slower pace, quieter life type of gal 95% of the time.

Sometimes I feel guilty, like I should be doing more with my time. But to be honest I feel like I get really grumpy and not fun to be around when I am trying to do too much.

So I'll put the question out there:

Do you enjoy buzzing around like a bee from one thing to the next, or do you prefer quiet days?

*And to be fair, I know my mom would love more free time - she is just a better person than I. :)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Saturday afternoon Kendle and I had a wonderful time baking and spending time together. If ever there was a little girl who liked to have fun, it is Kendle. She is one spicy little girl and knows how to liven things up. We put Morgan down for a nap, turned on some fun music, and then chatted and mixed and stirred and laughed. There is never a dull moment when she's around. "Lively" is a word that comes to mind. I truly enjoyed those moments with her though and am always amazed at the conversations we can have when we are alone together.

Later that evening after Riley arrived home, our family went to go visit my mother-in-law who's been in the hospital and is now in an out-patient facility receiving on-going care and rehabilitation. It was her birthday and we were her last visitors of the day. She had received many well wishes and had her walls and shelves lined with balloons, cards, and flowers which we were happy to see. Kendle knows how much her grandma Kathy loves to hear her sing, so right when we walked into her room, she went up and put her arm around her grandma sitting in her wheelchair and sang her "Happy Birthday". Kendle can be so sweet, and she is really kind and good with her grandma. Sometimes it can be a little scary when you are a child to see your grandma hurt and sick and it would be easy to shy away from that. From an early age Kendle has realized her grandma's limitations and is an excellent helper to her; for that I am thankful.

Last night we attended an amazing baptism for a little girl who has been coming to church with a family in our ward. The spirit was so unbelievably strong in that primary room, and you could literally see her glowing and beaming. There were quite a few non-members there and I know they felt the spirit as well. I gave her a hug afterwards and I could feel her happiness radiating off of her. As we got in the car to leave the Stake Center, our radio was playing music. Kendle said to me "Mom, can we just turn the radio off? I feel so good right now and I just don't want to hear that music." I thought to myself, "ok, who is the teacher here?" As a mom do you ever have the feeling that you were sent your specific children for a reason? I have that feeling often.

Little bit of this, Little bit of that

*Every so often good sales come along where you can stock up on canned goods and food storage. This week Yoke's is having their case sale and I came home with enough canned goods to last quite a while. Here are the prices if you are interested:

Western Family canned tomatoes: 24 pack/ 11.49
Western Family chili: 12 pack/ 7.99
Western Family canned vegetables: 24 pack/ 9.99
Western Family canned fruit: 24 pack/ 15.99
Western Family canned applesauce: 24 pack/ 9.99
Hunt's Spaghetti sauce: 12 pack/ 9.99
Campbell's tomato or chicken noodle soup: 24 pack/ 13.99
Western Family macaroni and cheese: 24 pack/ 7.99

I believe the sale is going on until the 21st.

*I also noticed in Albertson's flier this week that they are having their 10 for $10 and 10 for $15 sales. There are several items listed in each group that there are coupons for that have come out in the last few months that can make this a really good sale. I have quite a few General Mills cereal coupons and Betty Crocker coupons so I am going to stock up on Cinnamon Toast Crunch and cake and brownie mixes. Also Pillsbury coupons have been piling up and this would be a great time to get rid of those.

*Has anyone found any good Halloween candy deals yet? With how expensive it is getting I'm expecting to bite into chocolate covered gold. We usually buy a couple of bags of really good candy (Reese's, Snickers, etc...) and then buy what I call "candy bucket fillers" which is usually one of those huge mixed bags of tootsie rolls, suckers, gum and so on.

*Speaking of Halloween, while browsing on sugardoodle, I found this link to some great Halloween templates and graphics that would be perfect for spooking out your house or treats. My favorites are the retro looking pumpkin face and the cute little owls.

I wish I could do something cool outside my house like this:

Halloween is so fun!

I told Kendle that this afternoon we'd bake some yummy treats, so we'll be making some of my favorite pumpkin muffins and enjoying the rest of our relaxing Saturday afternoon. I must try and finish this book as it is due back to the library!

October 16, 2008

A new family favorite

A few weeks ago, we went to the library and brought home this book:

I had been wanting to read this with Kendle for a while, but I am trying to get out of my habit of buying lots of expensive books, therefore we had to wait behind many other requests from the library to finally get our chance to read it. And I am glad to say it was worth the wait.

This is a story about a china rabbit named Edward Tulane who belongs to a little girl named Abilene. One day, he is lost over the side of a boat into the ocean and his journey begins. He encounters many different people who take him in and care for him and fix him up. Edward is exposed to some of the harsh realities and cruelties of the world, but slowly learns what it means to really love someone and to never give up on love and being loved.

There were parts of this book that had me kind of choked up, but also other parts that made us laugh. Kendle really enjoyed me reading this out loud to her before bed and would beg for just one more chapter every time I would start to close the book. I always appreciate when a book is entertaining, but also teaches children good lessons and makes them think about life in a different way.

So if you're looking for a good book to read with your children, give Edward Tulane a try.

16 Months Old

It's hard to believe my little guy is growing up so fast. He is not my little baby anymore, but a big strong toddler. He is quite the sturdy little guy, he can almost knock me over when he runs and gives me a big hug. Lucky for me he loves hugs and kisses and is just so sweet most of the time. He melts my heart with his big green eyes.

He is such a fun little boy to be around. I think he might be my helpful child that likes to be clean and neat because he loves to get the broom out and "help" me sweep, and anytime he spills something or drops something on the floor he will get a towel and wipe it up. I've also trained him to throw things in the garbage. It is really cute. Morgan loves to take baths and every time I ask him if he wants to take one, he runs to the bathroom door and tries to start taking off his clothes. It cracks me up.

He is a meat and potatoes boy and can put away his fair share of food. His favorite things to eat right now are mashed potatoes, chicken, corn and peas, and he also really likes grapes. He is a good breakfast eater and will scarf down sausage and pancakes. I'm glad he makes it so easy on me, I keep telling Kendle that her little brother is going to be way bigger and stronger because he eats so good.

Morgan is still a boy of few words but occasionally he will say things perfectly loud and clear. I swear the other day he said "I don't know". It was funny because he even used voice inflection.

Right now, I would say one of his favorite things to do is wear other people's shoes around the house. It is hilarious and I will have to post some pictures of that sometime. He will wear my high heels, Kendle's boots, Riley's soccer cleats - anything that he can find and slip his feet into. He's always clomping around.

He likes to "go" and anytime he sees me gathering up my keys and purse he will run to his room and find his shoes and try to put them on. Even if it is just a quick ride in the car, he enjoys being out and about. He'll stand by the front door waving bye-bye to let you know he wants outside.

Possibly the cutest thing ever is when Riley gets home from work and Morgan will run to him to give him a big hug while he's yelling "Dad, Dad!" Those are the moments you wish you could freeze in time for when they are teenagers and won't even say hello to you.

Our home is a much more fun place with this little guy around.

Spontaneous Weekend Trip

Friday I decided that I would go with my mother on a whirlwind extravaganza the next day to see this little guy for his birthday, and go with my brothers and my sister-in-law Debbie to the Oregon State vs. Washington State Football game.

Saturday morning Riley called me from his hunting spot (it was opening day and he had left our house around 4:00 am) to wake me up around 6:10. Luckily I had packed up the kids stuff the night before because I'm not in any way, shape, or form a morning person. We got loaded up in the car still in our pj's and headed to Irrigon to hook up with my mom. After transferring all of our stuff to her car we headed off down the road. It is always fun to travel with my mom because we can talk non-stop the whole way. Sometimes that causes us to miss the right exit or road, but it is fun.

Our first stop was in Albany to see my little brother's house he's renting at school and change our clothes. Their house is really cute and in a good location. Not bad for a bunch of poor college kids. Tucker came with us and we drove to Corvallis to Debbie's mom and dad's house, which is quickly becoming the Corvallis hang-out spot. They were having a birthday party for my nephew Zack before the football game and we ate pizza and cake and visited with her family. They are a great bunch. Tamra was also there and it was good to see her. Zack got to have a neat football cake:

He is a really good kid and Rich and Deb didn't tell him Kendle was coming. He thought that was a good surprise. Kendle loves her cousins so much. She had a great time playing and running around the Davis' house and yard with all of the kids. Morgan enjoyed himself as well:

My mom was super enough to stay and help out watching kids so that I could go to the football game. It was a perfect day to be in Corvallis, Oregon. Walking through the gorgeous campus to the stadium was the epitome of what a perfect fall day should look like. The sun was shining, the grass was green, and all of the huge trees and foliage were showing off their beautiful colors. It was stunning. We sat in good seats and enjoyed the lovely weather. It was a really fun game, although WSU got another severe beating and it was almost too sad to watch towards the end. Final score OSU 66, WSU 13.

Here are some pictures from the game:

Oregon State fans rock! (On a slightly unrelated note, on the drive down I saw a bumper sticker that read, "Short people rock". We thought that was hilarious and I told my mom she needs to get one for her car.)

After the game we made the hike back through campus to Jer's car and went back to pick up the kids. We packed them up and went over to see Tamra for a bit. She sat in the student section during the game so we didn't see her there. She is doing well and enjoying the college life, especially since she does not have to take any more math. Yay for that!

We were pretty tired after we got back on the road and we made it to Hood River before we had to stop and get a pop and a snack so we could stay awake. Driving always feels like it takes forever when you are really tired. The kids slept almost the whole way back to my parents house. We made it by about 12:45, me and the kids just stayed the night there and got up and drove home the next day before church. I was EXHAUSTED, but it was well worth it. Have I caught up on my sleep yet? Not quite, but it was really fun and I'm glad I was able to spend time with my siblings. Watching the Beaver's kick some booty was just the icing on the cake.

Fall Movie Clips

This is the season for pulling on sweatshirts, going to the game on Friday nights, planning Halloween costumes, and warming up our homes with yummy smells and welcoming treats.

Here are some movie clips that remind me of Autumn, Halloween, and letting my inner child come out to enjoy the season.

The first clip is from "E.T".
This was one of my favorite movies growing up. I think I cried when I saw it at the movie theater. Anyways, I love this clip where E.T. sees Yoda.

The next clip is from "Remember the Titans". I could watch this movie 500 times and not get tired of it. This part always makes me laugh, but really it gets my blood pumping to go watch some football.

I love the opening scene of Disney's "Monster House". The fall leaves look and sound so real, and I love how the wind carries the leaf like the flying feather in Forest Gump.

One of my favorite movies from my childhood was Disney's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". It was just the right mix of spooky and funny. The music is really catchy
and Bing Crosby's narration and singing makes this one a classic in my book.

What movies do you like to watch during the fall season? If you want to play along you can post a clip on your blog.

Kristen turns the big 3 - 0!!!

Happy Birthday Kristen!

In honor of her BIG birthday, I thought I'd list some things about her that make her truly unique and are "Kristen-esque" qualities:

*She's always up for a good time. Ladies nights out? Kristen does a great job of planning them and always makes everyone laugh. Even when she tells the Red Robin waiter that their water is disgusting and takes 10 minutes ordering something to drink.

*In a pinch and need a babysitter? I know she always has my back. What if she already has ten kids at her house and they are climbing the walls and swinging from the chandeliers? No problem. She's super human.

*Whenever there is a new family to move into our ward, she'll be one of the first to introduce herself and make them feel welcome. I know this from personal experience.

*In the mood for some yummy food? She makes a mean sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.

*She is a huge American Idol fan.

*She is a good friend and always has a listening ear when you need one.

* She loves her family very much and would bend over backwards and do anything she could to make them happy and make their lives better.

*I never have to worry about what I wear, if my hair is done, or if I'm wearing makeup around her. She just accepts me for who I am, ratty sweats and all.

*I can imagine her yelling "Porter!" All the stories she has about her children and still having a sense of humor about them.

*She isn't afraid to be crazy and laugh at herself a bit.

*She says she's not crafty, but she is. Also, don't go bowling with her unless you want to be beaten very badly!

*She is a fellow Oregon State fan. Jack is an OSU alum and I am thankful to have them as allies in the fight of good vs. evil (for example, The Civil War Game).

Thanks for being such a good friend Kristen. You deserve to have an awesome 30th Birthday!

Halloween Crafts

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today, but wanted to share these pictures and links with you.

I've been seeing all sorts of cute Halloween ideas popping up all over blog land that I thought I'd share with you. Even though I already have quite a bit of Halloween and Fall decor, it's nice to add new things into the mix every year and let the kids get in on the decorating fun.

These first two ideas I liked for two reasons:
1. They were easy and kid friendly
2. They were cheap/free depending on what you have around the house

Last week on BeCentsable I saw these cute ghosts and pumpkins made out of empty milk jugs:

For the ghosts you just draw on faces with a permanent marker and then paint the lids white if they are a different color. The pumpkins just need a little orange and green paint and you can cut out faces with a craft knife. For both, cut holes in the back and insert lights. In the above picture she just took a string of white lights and put a few in each one.

Another easy idea BeCentsable shared were these pumpkin garlands made from orange paper plates:

Cut out different shapes from black paper for the faces and glue onto the plates. You can punch a whole in the top and string them from ribbon to hang around the house.

There are more cute ideas she posted about and I just really appreciated that they were kid friendly and something even non-crafty people like myself could do in a short amount of time.

Also, yesterday on A Soft Place to Land which is one of my new favorite blogs, Kimba hosted a bloggy party where everyone could share a link to their Halloween and Fall posts. There are over 100 links and I have not had a chance to look at all of them, but here are a few cute things I saw that I'd like to make:

This blog had the cutest countdown to Halloween idea:

You can fill the little bags with one little piece of candy per child/per day or some other little Halloween trinket. How fun is that? I think I might enjoy that one more than my kids!

I also loved this blogger's version of a Halloween wreath and her "Boo" sign.

These were just a few of the many, many cute things I saw looking through the links on Kimba's blog.

Yesterday I managed to put out my fall decorations with only a minimal amount of help from the Morgster. Kendle loves our electric Jack-O-Lanterns that I always put up on our high wall ledge. She came home from school yesterday and kept flicking the wall switch to turn them off and on. I left a few things out for her to help with and put in her room. I remember the excitement of being a kid and wanting to help my mom decorate for the holidays. I'm glad she shares my enthusiasm for that sort of thing.

Rested

We had a great weekend. Kendle had a game on Saturday and scored a goal. We came home and cleaned house a bit, and then I packed up the kids to go stay with mi familia and watch conference. Riley stayed behind because he had to travel to Suncadia for a work convention. The kids had fun at grandma and grandpa's and tore up the place in no time. It was nice to just kick back and relax and stay in comfy clothes, eat yummy food and watch conference. It was a beautiful weekend weather wise as well. A bit windy, but that crisp fall air was present and all around my parents house are huge tall trees that were yellows and oranges and reds. So pretty. One of my aunts bought a cow that was being sold to be butchered and was awesome enough to ask if anyone else wanted to buy some. We ended up coming home last night with about 20+ pounds of meat and my dad also stocked us up on a big bag of fresh potatoes from the farm. So I guess if there was any kind of crisis any time soon, we would at least have enough meat and potatoes to last us a while!

It was nice to come home last night to a clean house and tired kids that wanted to go to bed. Before Riley left yesterday morning, he kindly retrieved my huge storage container of fall decorations from the garage so I could put them out today. Kendle is excited to come home after school and help decorate. I found some really cute, cheap, Halloween crafts that we'll be doing sometime this week as well. They involve empty milk jugs, paint, a permanent marker, and some orange paper plates. I'll post the link where I got the ideas and some other fall fun tomorrow.

Friday Photos

This must be the week for tags flying around the blogosphere. Kim H. hit me up with this one. Thanks Kim!

*The way this tag works, is you are supposed to go to your fourth picture file and post about the fourth picture in that file.

Here it is:

This picture was from Kendle's first Easter. She was about 8 months old. I remember it was such a beautiful day, that after church we came home and wanted to take some pictures of her outside. From an early age she loved getting her picture taken and was being so cute for us that day. This was a really fun age and I loved dressing her up for church every Sunday. It's hard to believe that now she's our little soccer star and looks like this:

Time is flying at warp speed!

I tag anyone else that wants to play along.

General Conference Ideas

I am really looking forward to General Conference this weekend. I am excited to hear the counsel of our prophet and church leaders in this tumultuous time for our country.

While reading Everyday Food Storage this week, I was pleased to find some really great ideas to go along with General Conference.

*The first was a children's conference packet that is 14 pages of word searches, games about the prophet and the apostles, and things to help them learn and pay attention during the talks. It is GREAT!!! There is also a memory game of the apostles that would be fun for any Sunday. You can go here to print out both for your own children.

*The second great idea is one for your visiting teaching sisters. It is a General Conference Goodie Bag. It has a clever little poem you can attach and is so cute. Here is a picture of the bags I made for the sister's I visit (sorry if this ruin's the surprise ladies):

I changed the part about the gum on my poem, but you can go here and print out a note card of your own if you'd like to make one of these. They were pretty cost effective split up between three bags.

Thank you Crystal for posting these great ideas!

Do you have any special traditions you do, or food you make for conference weekend?

Autumn List

This summer our family made a list of fun things we'd like to do as a family. Although we did not cross off every single one, we came pretty close. It was a great way to already have ideas right in front of us when thinking of something to do together.

I thought we could do the same thing now that it's Autumn time and take advantage of some great things that this time of year has to offer.

Here are a few things from our list:

-Go to the pumpkin patch
-Go apple picking
-Go to a football game
-Take a walk in the park
-Take some fall pictures
-Make caramel apples
-Go on a fall scavenger hunt
-Make Halloween decorations
-Make pumpkin milkshakes

Kendle just loves to look at our list and try and plan something to do.

I'm also excited because I just picked up some good books from the library that I had requested, and now I'm looking forward to curling up at night and getting some good reading in after the kiddies are tucked into their beds.

The weather this week has been just spectacular. This is such a great time of year!
