Happy Halloween!!!

Hope everyone has a frightfully good day and a night that's full of tricks and treats. We will be at our ward's "Trunk or Treat" this evening and I look forward to seeing all of the children in their costumes. Kendle will be a fairy and Morgan will be a little skeleton. Enjoy your Halloween!

Six things you might not know about me

Kristen tagged me this week to write six random facts about myself that other people might not know. So here goes:

1. I love to blow out birthday candles

2. I have three moles in the shape of a perfect equal lateral triangle on my right leg

3. When I was a toddler I survived a near fatal fall off of my grandparents very high deck without a bruise, scratch, or broken bone. My grandmother tells me there must have literally been angels protecting me.

4. I once got paid 300 dollars to play the piano in front of a couple thousand people

5. I've lived out one of my lifelong dreams of going to a famous resort in a tropical location, lying on the beach, and drinking a tropical drink out of a coconut. Life doesn't get much better than that. (Thanks Riley and Thank you Cingular)

6. I have a crush on Jimmy Fallon

So there are some random things I bet you didn't know about me, and speaking of Jimmy Fallon, I added his Halloween carols above. Enjoy!

We could have used a little more cowbell

Mitch and Nan's Halloween party was fun and hilarious to boot, but I'll get to that in a minute. The night was filled with surprises. First of all, being the procrastinator that I am, I didn't try anything on before hand and thought I'd just wing it with my hair and makeup. By hair I mean wig of course, and it was like an Olympic event trying to get all of my hair up under that tiny thing. Don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon. But finally I got everything put together pretty nicely and Riley rolled the top of his pants up about ten times (he has short legs) and we were good to go. Do we look like a couple of bootleggers or what? Riley makes the perfect "Uncle Carmine". Before heading to the party a few of us couples dined at Applebee's in all of our get-up. It was also Pasco's Homecoming night, so it was packed with people and I'm sure we made quite the entrance. Here's a picture of us gals waiting to be seated:

















Yep, that's us wild and crazy gals. Natalie was Daphne from Scooby Doo, Lisa's costume was really cute but wouldn't fit in the restaurant (it was an oven) and Kristen was "Fire".

After eating our fill of delicious food, we headed over to Mitch and Nan's and saw these guys:
















Mitch and Nancie are so much fun and are the best hosts. I love how they make it easy for everyone to have a good time. It was an interesting night, with a little "To Catch a Predator" mixed in with some SNL humor, and even more surprises. My throat hurt so bad by the end of the night from laughing so hard. It was so fun to get dressed up and the only thing that could have made it better was just a little more cowbell!

Costume scheming and hunting

Tomorrow night we will be attending a famous Halloween party. The kind that makes you stress about your costume because you know how cool other people's will be. This is to be taken very seriously and with much thought, but as usual, here it is the night before and I am still scrambling to bring it all together. Despite my lack of creativity in the dress-up department, I know we will be in for a smashing good time. Who says kids get to have all of the fun on Halloween? Boo-ha-ha!
