We could have used a little more cowbell

Mitch and Nan's Halloween party was fun and hilarious to boot, but I'll get to that in a minute. The night was filled with surprises. First of all, being the procrastinator that I am, I didn't try anything on before hand and thought I'd just wing it with my hair and makeup. By hair I mean wig of course, and it was like an Olympic event trying to get all of my hair up under that tiny thing. Don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon. But finally I got everything put together pretty nicely and Riley rolled the top of his pants up about ten times (he has short legs) and we were good to go. Check out this smashing pair:

Do we look like a couple of bootleggers or what? Riley makes the perfect "Uncle Carmine". Before heading to the party a few of us couples dined at Applebee's in all of our get-up. It was also Pasco's Homecoming night, so it was packed with people and I'm sure we made quite the entrance. Here's a picture of us gals waiting to be seated:

Yep, that's us wild and crazy gals. Natalie was Daphne from Scooby Doo, Lisa's costume was really cute but wouldn't fit in the restaurant (it was an oven) and Kristen was "Fire".

After eating our fill of delicious food, we headed over to Mitch and Nan's and saw these guys:

Mitch and Nancie are so much fun and are the best hosts. I love how they make it easy for everyone to have a good time. It was an interesting night, with a little "To Catch a Predator" mixed in with some SNL humor, and even more surprises. Here are some more pictures from the party, hope no one minds that I'm putting them on here.

Fred and Daphne

"Bun in the oven"

The Incredibles

The donkey looks kind of tired in this picture.

A little cowbell anyone? and isn't that a cute gingerbread man?

The Fireman and the fire, I'm so mad I didn't get Kristen's shoes in this picture. They were to die for!

Napoleon and Deb

Popeye and Olive Oyl

Anyone feel like robbing a bank?

Chris Hansen from Dateline came to round up a few "predators"

My throat hurt so bad by the end of the night from laughing so hard. It was so fun to get dressed up and the only thing that could have made it better was just a little more cowbell!

These pictures are great! It was such a fun night and I love all the costumes! Yeah, I can't get Johnny's dancing from keeping me laughing out loud! That was hilarious, and I hope he wears it to the Trunk-Or-Treat, so we can see more cow bell!!

i don't know which was better, brian getting questioned by a total stranger that no one knew,(and me abandoning him) or the waitress thinking we were high school kids with a strange sense of style!!

These costumes are great and are the reason Ryan and I didn't make it to the party. I had zero time to put something together. Looks like everyone had a great time. Next year I'll be more prepared.

I can't get the cowbell out of my head either! That was a riot. He and his brother cracked me up all night. I bet it was loads of fun growing up in their household.

You guys you were wearing costumes you were so authentic and you should think seriously about wearing that hair color and style, you looked incredibly beautiful.

Looks like a fun Halloween Party. Everybody had great costumes. When you "throw together" a costume, you guys come up with great stuff!

I agree with Lindsay, you can throw together a very impressive costume.

Love that you went out to dinner in costume, how fun!
