If I can make it through the rest of the day without sinking into the depths of despair I think I can answer the title of this post with "quite a lot". OK, I guess I'm being a little melodramatic, but today is one of those days where I feel like being a little melodramatic. Last night at Kendle's tee-ball game in the windy cold, I started to feel the sickness coming on. Sinus pressure, sore throat, stuffed up nose, achy body, burny eyes. By the time we got home I was feeling pretty bad and just wanted to go to bed. But I had to feed the kids, get them in their jammies, put them to bed and then tidy up the house while I watched American Idol (can't miss that). I had a terrible nights sleep even though I was exhausted. I couldn't breathe and kept tossing and turning.
This is how my Wednesday has gone so far:
-got up, took a shower, got dressed
-bathed Kendle, got her dressed and fixed hair, fed her breakfast
-got Morgan up, and got him bathed, dressed and fed
-helped Kendle gather up her school stuff and sent her off to school with dad dropping her off
-cleaned up the morning mess
-put another load of laundry in the washer
-my sister-in-law dropped off my 4 month old nephew that I watch for her one day a week
-got little nephew bathed, dressed, and fed
-set the kids down with some toys so I could do dishes and sweep floor
-5 minutes later nephew is crying and Morgan is being a pest
-quickly finish up and pick up little nephew and sit down to check e-mail
-Morgan is pulling every DVD out and messing with the blinds again
-pull up blinds so he can't get them and try to deter him
-sit back down, nephew still crying and I try to reply to an e-mail while typing with one hand
-put nephew down in Morgan's crib, still crying so I swaddle him up, cries more then falls asleep
-Morgan's crying "ba-ba-ba-ba" so I sit down to help him drink his bottle
-Type a quick post on my blog to vent, complain, and feel sorry for myself that I have puffy eyes and am pretty much physically and mentally out of steam.
-Ahhh, just in time to wake up the baby, load up the car seat, get both babies in the car, drive to school and pick Kendle up.
-And I just noticed Morgan has a dirty diaper. PERFECT!!!!
How's your Wednesday going?

Poor Girl. That is quite a start when your not feeling good Sarah.
I hope it continues a little better from here on out. Sorry for you.
I hate being sick. I hope you get a nap this afternoon and a bottle of Nyquil tonight.
I hate having a full list of things to do when you feel yucky. Hang in there, sit whenever you can, and go to bed early!
Oh how I remember those days. I would get so mad because it didn't matter how bad you felt, you still had to plug along. It just makes everything harder. I wish you were closer so I could help more. Let me know how you feel about tomorrow night! Maybe I better just come over and make you chicken soup and tend the kids!!
Also, I know you don't like it but if you have Gogi left Drink It! You will get better faster.
Oh I hate these kind of days. I hope you feel better soon.
Kim
The windy weather has got to GO Bye Bye! I hate days like this. When there is so much that needs to get done and watching kids and dealing with your own gets tough. Hopefully by now, the worst is over and you can relax tonight!
Sounds like a doozy. I hope that you are able to rest better tonight. It's never any good to try to tackle the un-ending list of mommyhood when you're not feeling good.
Sorry you're not feeling well. Hopefully your Thursday is better.
Sarah, I am so very sorry that you had such a terrible day yesterday. Being a mom is so hard especially on days where you aren't feeling very well.
Hang in there, you've got lots of people who love and care about you!
Is it not amazing how such little people can create HUGE messes in so little time? There's lots of days I feel so defeated - working all day to keep the house clean and nothing to show for it!
